PETER LEROY M | BASS TUBA Eb (B.C.)|
The work Apollo refers to the Greek god Apollo, god of fine arts, music and poetry; he led the choir of the Muses, daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne. His attributes were an arrow and a bow, because as a sun god he could also sow destruction with his arrows. He is also depicted as the god of music with a laurel wreath and a zither that he played with a plectrum.
